At the time, the trading experience for retail users was scattered and difficult to navigate. Most advanced tools were built for professionals, leaving regular users with clunky, Telegram-based apps and poor user experiences. On the other end of the spectrum, some platforms were overloaded with features and hard to use, while still missing key functionality like MEV integration. Ape’s mission was to create something approachable, easy to understand, and visually appealing to the everyday user.

This was a true zero-to-one design project. I worked closely with the founding team from the very beginning, helping take the product from an early idea to a fully launched experience.

We worked in a fast-moving, agile environment. I stayed in close contact with both stakeholders and developers, continuously refining UX flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs as we responded to evolving product needs and feedback.

Alongside product design, I collaborated with their branding agency and in-house artists to make sure the interface matched the brand’s friendly and playful tone. The goal was to create a product that felt light and welcoming, while still being polished and easy to use.

In the end, we built something that felt genuinely fun and approachable for retail users. It brought clarity and ease of use to a part of crypto that’s often confusing and overly technical.

The final product brought a fresh and user-friendly approach to DeFi. It combined staking rewards, yield generation, and smart automation into a clean and intuitive app. The platform gained strong traction with a wide range of users, quickly building an active community.

What made Ape Terminal stand out was its ability to deliver powerful, on-chain tools in a format that was easy to use and understand. The thoughtful design helped users feel confident in what they were doing, driving both adoption and trust. It positioned Ape Terminal as a strong contender in the fast-growing space of crypto-native investing.
